CEO RIO Participates in 'Monthly People' Interview
2026. 10. 02

In an interview with Monthly People, Litera Pictures CEO Eon-ho Lee shared his vision for the future of the animation industry, introducing the studio's global production network and proprietary Production OS, 'RECESS'. Drawing on over two decades of production experience, Lee addressed the industry's chronic challenge of fragmented schedules, retakes, and settlements across distributed teams, emphasizing that project quality depends on how reliably diverse production hubs and workflows are integrated.
To solve these challenges, Litera Pictures established a collaborative network leveraging regional strengths: South Korea oversees project management and quality control, Japan coordinates with local studios and clients, and Southeast Asian hubs (Cambodia and Vietnam) handle production execution while cultivating creative talent—all operating within a single, cohesive framework.
Central to this ecosystem is 'RECESS', a dedicated production operating system designed to eliminate workflow silos. By managing projects at the cut and part level, RECESS unifies every phase from ordering, task assignment, and retakes to delivery, invoicing, and final settlements. It also establishes transparent records of individual artist contributions, an essential safeguard as AI tools become increasingly integrated into content creation.
Looking forward, Litera Pictures is building a sustainable global content infrastructure. By bridging South Korea’s planning capabilities, Japan’s production heritage, and Southeast Asia’s growing talent pool, the studio aims to foster an ecosystem that not only ensures stable production, but also discovers and supports original local IP on the global stage.
